Corey Asbill was born in Artesia, NM and graduated high school from Cloudcroft. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from NMSU in 2002. He has been working in the renewable energy industry for the past 15 years. Thirteen of those years, he has been at the solar energy research center on the campus of NMSU, two years with SunPower by Positive Energy Solar, and now he is the co-founder of Organ Mountain Solar and Electric. He retains a passion for renewable energy system deployment and sustainable development adoption and practice.
Board Secretary: Tessa Abeyta Stuve
Tessa is a New Mexican small business owner and community advocate. Raised in Los Alamos, Tessa earned a Bachelors in Arts in Government from NMSU, becoming a 1st generation college graduate. Tessa serves as the secretary for the Board of Directors of the Las Cruces Green Chamber of Commerce and joined the Executive Committee of the Progressive Voters Alliance in 2017. Tessa served on the church council at Peace Lutheran, and as a member of the Board of Directors for the Border Servant Corps. Since 2016, Tessa has been an active member of the Polka Dot Powerhouse, a professional networking group for women in local business.
Tessa and her husband Todd are proud parents to twin boys Luca and Elliot, and daughter Persephone whom they welcomed through domestic adoption in New Mexico. Tessa works very hard to instill a family motto in her children , “Be a good human, and make the world a better place”. Tessa is a proud Las Crucen, and looking forward to working with others in building a sustainable and welcoming city.

Dental Associates, PA
Drew Marketto is a dentist in Las Cruces. His family has a long standing tradition of health care in the Mesilla Valley. His grandfather, Don Marketto Jr., has been a Las Cruces OBGYN for the past 31 years, and began his practice when Telshor Boulevard was a dirt road. His father, Don Marketto III, doctor of osteopathic medicine, has practiced anesthesia here since 1994 and continues his practice at MountainView Regional Medical Center.
Drew Marketto attended Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska for his undergraduate and doctorate education. He joined Dr. David A. Sudimack and Dr. Phillip E. Born, Jr. at Dental Associates, PA, 2205 S. Solano Drive, in August of 2017. Drew also joins his wife, Jené, a dental hygienist, who has been working at Dental Associates, PA for the past year.

Leah Messina is the CEO of Sinuate Media, a digital marketing and publicity firm she founded in 2006. She has led extensive promotions for product launches, ecommerce businesses, entertainment, professional services, and educational institutions. She has helped launch several startups and currently serves as an Enterprise Advisor at The Arrowhead Center at NMSU. Leah holds a BA in Professional Writing & Communication Design from Carnegie Mellon University and a MS in Marketing from Johns Hopkins University. A New York native, she has been a Las Cruces resident since 2010.

Cassandra Lockwood attended Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids, MI and graduated with her BFA in 1999. During graduate school at NMSU, she studied how cultural identity informs contemporary art on the US/Mexico Border receiving her MA in History in 2003.
Presently, Cassandra manages the ReStore for Mesilla Valley Habitat for Humanity.

Candice is the Executive Director for Mesilla Valley Habitat for Humanity, as well as the owner of Leave it Local, Las Cruces, a community collaborative consulting firm. She is very passionate about the community of Las Cruces, and has been working to partner with hardworking and deserving citizens and business owners. She has 4 children that keep her busy when she is not working with one of her causes. She is proud to be a part of the Green Chamber because it represents what is so dear to her heart, supporting all that is Local….and “Green”!!! She truly believes that by uplifting our local businesses and raising awareness on how we can all soften the footprint on this beautiful earth, together.
